how we met
No, it wasn’t at Macchu Picchu. Our love story begins in DC in March of 2016. We met for the first time at Pinstripes in Georgetown. We didn’t end up actually bowling as there was a corporate event taking up all the lanes. (Georgetown so it’s a FANCY bowling place). Instead, we sat outside around a fire pit and chatted over drinks for 2 hours. Troy will say that I was 30 minutes late, I remember 20, so the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. We found each other interesting enough that there was a second date (Troy made me dinner), a third date (hiking at Old Rag). and now we are getting married on February 17, 2020!
Although TECHNICALLY we met on Happn. Happn is a dating app that started in Paris, France. It only shows you people that have been in the same place at the same time as you. The idea is that you theoretically could have met in person at some point. Kind of like a digital Missed Connections. Troy and I always laugh about this because we were both very much “not into dating apps” but gave it a shot and here we are *heart emoji*
The truth is out! Our origin story can be linked back to a dating app! Very #millenial and very much a #moderndaylovestory
